Job Description
Halton Healthcare is an innovative, growing organization with three progressive community hospitals, providing quality health services to more than 350,000 Halton residents. Halton Healthcare is Accredited with Exemplary Standing by Accreditation Canada.
Neurologist – Milton District Hospital
Halton Healthcare – Milton District Hospital is currently seeking a Neurologist to join a dynamic team in Milton. Halton Healthcare is comprised of three community hospitals in the growing urban and rural communities of Halton Hills with a catchment area of over 400,000 people. Halton Healthcare is undergoing a large organizational change as we strive to provide exemplary care for the population in the fastest growing communities in the Greater Toronto Area and in Canada. One Halton Healthcare is a transformational initiative designed to integrate care across our three hospitals (Georgetown, Milton, and Oakville) and nine community sites in response to projected population growth, increasing demand for services, and the need for more equitable access to care.
At Halton Healthcare, you will thrive in a healthcare culture and environment that embraces inclusion, high performance, and flexibility, with 'exemplary patient care always' at the heart of everything we do. Bring your compassion and expertise to an outstanding team and hospital system!
The successful candidate will join our existing neurologist to provide Inpatient and ED consults and participate in the daytime on-call schedule. They are also expected to play a crucial role in promoting and exemplifying excellence in professional practice and conduct and demonstrate a strong commitment to expanding the neurology service. Your contributions will be instrumental in shaping the Department's future.
Since 2011, Halton Healthcare has been affiliated with McMaster University. The successful applicant will demonstrate a commitment to medical education at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels as we continue to grow this longstanding partnership. Furthermore, Halton Healthcare will expand our commitment to advancing medical education through a new academic affiliation with Toronto Metropolitan University School Medicine.
Candidates must have an independent license or be eligible for an independent license with the College of Physicians & Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO). Candidates in Fellowship training or who have a Fellowship in Neurology are preferred.
