NIAGARA HEALTH
The Department of Surgery, Division of Urology at Niagara Health seeks a highly skilled and motivated Urologist with a track record for providing compassionate and efficient care to join the Department.

We provide a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services to more than 450,000 residents across Niagara, including Acute Care, Cancer Care, Cardiac Care, Complex Care, Emergency and Urgent Care, Kidney Care, Long- Term Care, Mental Health and Addictions, Stroke Care, Women’s and Babies Care, and Surgical Care.

Strong academic partnerships are a priority for the NH as the organization builds on a robust relationship with McMaster University’s Michael G. DeGroote School of Medicine.
The Role

· The new candidates will share equal resources with the established group of urologists with respect to clinic/cystoscopy and operating room time. This would include the opportunity to participate in the prostate cancer diagnostic assessment program. |
The Practice |
• New recruits will have an equal share of all hospital resources as the incumbent urologists. |

Since its founding in 1966, innovation has been the hallmark of McMaster University’s Michael G. DeGroote School of Medicine and a major contributor to its international reputation for excellence.
The medical school has expanded to a regional campus in Niagara, which is located at Brock University. Students at the Niagara Regional Campus complete their clinical rotations in one of the six area hospitals with teaching done by the highly skilled and motivated hospital physicians. Opportunities for strengthening and building strong academic partnerships are a priority for Niagara Health as the hospital has expanded into this new facility. We are interested in Physicians who will pursue a university faculty appointment and participate in academic activities within a strong regional community hospital setting. In addition to McMaster, Niagara Health is building strong ties with other regional academic providers such as Brock University and Niagara College. |

Qualifications Required: |
· Proficiency in both official languages (English and French) will be considered an asset. · Additional training in uro-oncolgy, endourology and female urology an asset · Post-graduate Fellowship experience in an area of sub-specialization is an asset |
