Position Summary

Provide safe, multidisciplinary treatments for patients suffering from sub-acute and chronic non-cancer pain (CNCP) through pharmacotherapy, interventional pain medicine, and collaborative care.

• Customize treatment plans using advanced pharmaceuticals and technology.
• Apply multidisciplinary approaches to manage sub-acute and chronic non-cancer pain.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain professional standards in accordance with CPSO guidelines and clinic protocols.

Scope and Limitations

• Practice must align with the physician’s education, training, and competence.
• Adhere to CPSO Out-of-Hospital Standards for Interventional Pain Premise Level procedures:
• Minor nerve blocks: Minimally invasive, no surgical wound, no interference with organ function.
• Major nerve blocks, spinal epidural, or caudal: Limited invasiveness, minimal physiological impact.
• ASA classification must be assigned by the physician; only patients with ASA level 3 or lower may be treated.
• Interventional treatments are limited to patients aged 18 and older.
