The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) – Saskatoon and the University of Saskatchewan, Department of Pediatrics, invite applications for a full-time Pediatric Hematologist-Oncologist to join a collaborative academic team.The successful candidate will provide pediatric hematology and oncology consultation services in both inpatient and ambulatory settings, working closely with an interdisciplinary team to advance specialized care across Saskatchewan. Clinical responsibilities include participation in an equitable on-call schedule with division colleagues.In addition to clinical duties, the successful candidate will contribute to the Department of Pediatrics through teaching, mentorship, and research/scholarly activities. An interest or expertise in neuro-oncology would be considered an asset.The successful applicant will be eligible for an academic appointment at the University of Saskatchewan at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor, commensurate with experience and qualifications.This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing academic program and contribute to the advancement of pediatric hematology-oncology care, education, and research in Saskatchewan.Start date is negotiable. Centrally located on the University of Saskatchewan campus, JPCH offers inpatient and ambulatory general and subspeciality pediatric care, neonatal and pediatric critical care units and a pediatric emergency room. Maternal services include labour and delivery, antepartum and postpartum care. The 176-bed facility provides the highest quality of care and places Saskatchewan at the forefront of research and innovation.

The successful candidate will:
Be certified or eligible for certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC) in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology, or possess an accepted equivalent qualification (e.g., training completed in an approved jurisdiction or certification by the American Board of Pediatrics).Be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan (CPSS).Be eligible for Saskatchewan Health Authority credentialing, including satisfactory reference checks and a current criminal record check with vulnerable sector screening.Hold current Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) membership or equivalent medical liability coverage.Be legally entitled to work in Canada.The successful candidate will demonstrate a collaborative, team-oriented approach and possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills. They will work effectively with patients, families, physicians, learners, and interdisciplinary team members while thriving in a busy clinical environment.
