This position is part of Recovery Alberta, supporting our ongoing efforts to enhance healthcare services across the province.

Mental Health, Recovery Alberta, is inviting applications for two part-time Inpatient Psychiatrists to join Unit 27 at the Peter Lougheed Centre (PLC) in Calgary, Alberta.

PLC Inpatient Psychiatrists work within a multidisciplinary team that includes nursing staff, social workers, occupational therapists, recreation therapists, and managers. The typical caseload consists of 3 to 6 patients.

The successful candidate will work as part of a larger team of psychiatrists and will assist with coverage in the Emergency Department, Short Stay Unit, and Day Hospital. Responsibilities will also include conducting electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) and participating in the on-call schedule at PLC.

Recent experience working at PLC, either as a staff physician or a resident, will be considered a strong asset.

Qualifications:

The candidate must be eligible for Licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta.

Must read, write, and speak English.
