Job Description
Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital (OSMH) and the Orillia Paediatric Teaching Associates are seeking a General Consultant Pediatrician for a locum December 2025 - September 2026. The successful applicant will join a group of 7 consultant paediatricians and will practice in a variety of settings including outpatient office-based clinics, hospital-based subspecialty clinics and hospital inpatient and emergency coverage.
ON-CALL:
The pediatrician will be expected to participate in 1 in 8 general paediatric call at OSMH.

Qualifications
• FRCSC certification by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in Paediatric Medicine
• Licensure or eligibility to practice in the province of Ontario (CPSO)
• Membership in the Canadian Medical Protective Association in good standing
• Applicant must be eligible for appointment to the Credentialed Staff at Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital.
U.S.-trained doctors holding American Board certification are eligible to gain licensure with CPSO without certification from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RSPSC). Pathway A policy permits eligible specialists to be issued a restricted certificate of registration to practice independently limited to their scope of practice without requiring RCPSC.
