Primary Care Physician

Loyalist College Student Health Centre is seeking one or more physicians interested in providing primary health care to Loyalist College students.

Position Criteria: 

- Primary care appointments for acute and episodic care with potential walk-in/same-day service.

- 1-3 days or half-days per week

- Clinic hours 9am-12pm and 1-4pm

- Authorization of the Centre's Medical Directives, including associated consultations with Registered Nurses on staff

- Population served: mostly students (domestic and international) with some service to Loyalist College employees

- Incumbent must bill OHIP and other provincial plans for domestic students and third-party insurers such as Guard Me for international students

- Anticipated minimum hourly billings of $200, no clinic admin or overhead fees

- Health Centre staff able to assist with billing, if desired

- EMR charting with Accuro

Flexible start date: August 31, 2026

Key Qualifications: 

- Licensed and in good standing with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario

- Experience providing a welcoming and inclusive healthcare experience for a diverse patient population

- Experience with gender-affirming care is an asset

- Experience supporting a variety of mental health needs

- References required

The Student Health Centre has a team of Registered Nurses, Medical Administrative Support Staff, and Registered Social Workers. All furnishings, supplies, and other materials are provided by Loyalist College, along with support from the Student Health Centre team.
