Job Description
We are recruiting for a PSYCHIATRIST (EATING DISORDERS).
This is a part-time role (7 hours per week) based in Kitchener and Guelph, ON with flexibility to provide in person and virtual care.
As part of an interdisciplinary team consisting of therapists, registered dietitians and nurse practitioners the Psychiatrist (Eating Disorders) will provide assessment and, where needed, short term follow-up for individuals aged 16 and up enrolled in the eating disorders program. Assessment and treatment will focus on identification and management of comorbid conditions. The psychiatrist will provide treatment recommendations to help create a comprehensive treatment plan for the eating disorder and any comorbid conditions, considering the severity of symptoms and the needs and preferences of the individual. Medical care for clients enrolled in the eating disorders program is managed by the program’s nurse practitioners.
The Eating Disorders Program at CMHA WW is a life-span program providing evidence-based treatment for individuals aged 6 and up, in line with the Quality Standards for Eating from the Centre for Excellence in Mental Health and Addictions. The Eating Disorders program is comprised of an interdisciplinary team of therapists, registered dietitians and nurse practitioners providing evidence-based psychotherapy, nutrition counselling and medical monitoring to adults and youth diagnosed with an eating disorder.

· Interest in actively supporting educational activities and an academic teaching appointment is an asset.
· CMHA WW uses a hybrid model of in person and virtual service delivery.
· Payment is a combination of fee for service and sessional fees with no overhead costs. This offers a competitive earning potential.
The incumbent requires:
· FRCP(C) in Psychiatry and licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario
· Experience in a specialized eating disorders program would be an asset
· Demonstrated ability to work with a multi-disciplinary team(s)
· Commitment to community-based services
· Demonstrated understanding and sensitivity to social and cultural diversity
· Highly developed organizational, communication and problem-solving skills
· Proficiency with MS Office, Outlook and various database software
· Valid driver’s license and own transportation
