The mental health program at PRH is comprised of comprehensive outpatient services including a psychiatric clinic, Assertive Community Treatment Team, Community Mental Health case management, crisis team and social work counselling services.  We also have a 15 bed non schedule 1 Acute Mental Health Unit.  We are affiliated with the University of Ottawa and local family medicine residents complete their core physciatry training here.

There is currrently one full-time and 2 part-time members in the Department of Psychiatry and we are interested in expanding our services by recruiting two fulltime Psychiatrists who would be involved in inpatient and outpatient care.  We are flexible and innovative and welcome input for potential colleagues on the structure of the program and service delivery models.

While recruiting, we also need locums to provide services on weekends and several weeks throughout the year on a flexible time schedule.

Position Requirments:

• Full independent registration with College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO) 
• Certified by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada - FRCP (C) in Psychiatry.
