Toronto Minor Surgery Center(TMSC) is a practise located in North York that performs excisions of skin cancers, lumps and bumps (lipomas/cysts/skin tags/etc) and minor hand surgeries such as carpal tunnel releases and trigger fingers. We have an outstanding staff of over 35 Plastic, ENT and General Surgeons.  We have 6 functioning minor procedure rooms where the surgeries are performed under local anesthesia.

We are looking for a family doctor to help as surgical assistant on occasional Tuesdays. The Tuesday clinics typically run from 9am to 8pm. Nighttime premiums apply for billings after 5pm. All other assisting days are full.

This is a fee for service structure where the assistant will directly bill OHIP and the surgical assistant will keep 100% of billings. 

Expected duties are prepping and draping, holding retractors, cutting sutures, applying dressings and helping the nurse with room turnover.  It is a positive if the assistant can suture, however we are always happy to teach.
