Take Over an Established FHO Practice in Waterdown, Ontario

A well-established 4-physician FHO group in Waterdown, ON is seeking a family physician to take over an existing practice in 2026/2027 (timing flexible). Candidates have the option to locum between May 2026 and June 2027 to experience the practice before committing if desired.

The incoming physician will assume a roster of approximately 1,000 well-managed patients, seeing an average of 20 patients per day. Standard appointments are booked in 15‑minute intervals, with 30‑minute slots reserved for complex visits.

Current clinic hours include:

• Monday: 9:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
• Tuesday: 9:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. + after-hours clinic 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.
• Wednesday: 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
• Thursday: 9:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
• Friday: Off

As part of the FHO, the practice provides after-hours coverage on Tuesdays and approximately one Saturday per month.

The successful candidate will be joining a supportive team of three other family physicians, along with on-site nurses, receptionists, a referral specialist, and an office manager. The clinic uses Telus PS EMR and Heidi AI Scribe and clinic features include:

• Nine shared exam rooms
• Dedicated procedure room (e.g., joint injections, skin procedures)
• Two pediatric exam rooms
• On-site liquid nitrogen for cryotherapy
• Staff kitchenette, lunchroom, and private washrooms
• Located in a building with a physiotherapy group and close to a lab and OHIP-funded physio clinic
