We are an Ottawa-based virtual telehealth startup connecting Ontario residents who do not have a family doctor to a dedicated licensed physician. All consultations are conducted virtually by video call through our platform. We are a lean, modern healthcare company with zero clinic overhead no building, no waiting room, no unnecessary staff.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a motivated and licensed Family Physician to join our platform as an independent contractor. This is a fully remote, virtual-only role. You will provide primary care consultations to patients who are unattached meaning they currently have no family doctor. You will be their dedicated physician, providing real continuity of care from wherever you are in Ontario.

What You Will Do

• Conduct virtual consultations by video call through our platform for mild to moderate medical concerns
• Send prescriptions electronically via eFax directly to the patient's pharmacy of choice
• Order and send lab and bloodwork requisitions to patients through our platform or directly to the lab via eFax
• Order and send imaging and scanning requisitions (such as X-rays) via eFax or through our platform
• Order vaccines and injections and send orders via eFax to the patient's chosen pharmacy or clinic
• Write referral letters and send them via eFax to the appropriate specialist
• Bill OHIP and/or IFHP directly through Dr. Bill after each consultation
• Maintain accurate patient consultation notes through our platform
• Communicate with patients through our platform messaging system for uninsured services such as sick notes, form signing, and medical documentation
• Direct patients to the nearest emergency room for severe or emergency situations
• Provide the same patients with consistent, ongoing care over time

What We Are Looking For

• Licensed Family Physician in good standing with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO)
• Active OHIP billing number
• Comfortable using Dr. Bill for OHIP and IFHP billing (free to sign up, no monthly fee)
• Comfortable using eFax (Fax.Plus) to send prescriptions, requisitions, and referrals digitally
• Comfortable conducting virtual consultations by video call
• Experience billing IFHP is an asset but not required we serve refugee and protected person patients
• Strong communication skills and genuine passion for improving healthcare access
• Ability to work independently in a virtual environment

Compensation & Structure

• Independent contractor arrangement
• You bill OHIP and IFHP directly through Dr. Bill and retain your billings
• A 30% administrative platform fee applies on your monthly OHIP/IFHP earnings in exchange for patient access through our platform you keep 70%
