Two Month Locum Opportunity in a FHO/FHT Group Practice

A member of a 3-physician group practice on the Hamilton Mountain is seeking a locum to cover her practice for 3 days per week during September and October 2025. There is flexibility on which days are covered during the week and there is no requirement for after hour or weekend coverage.

With appointments booked from Monday to Friday from 9:15am – 4pm, and with just over 1,100 rostered (and ~100 additional un-rostered) patients, the locum can expect to see between 20-25 patients per day.

As part of the Hamilton Family Health Team the locum will have the opportunity to practice team-based care alongside a variety of allied health professionals including a mental health counsellor, a registered dietitian, a clinical pharmacist, a system navigator, a respiratory nurse, and a HFHT psychiatrist who is in the same building and is available for consults. The practice also has two full time RPNs supporting the team, as well as administrative support from 2 experienced admin staff, one of whom provides billing support.

The practice uses Telus PS EMR and Ocean for e-referrals and is connected to HRM and OLIS. The locum will have access to 1-3 exam rooms depending on the day and a shared office (with a private workstation). This large and newly renovated space also includes a pharmacy downstairs, nursing stations, a lunchroom and meeting area, and free parking for both staff and patients. 

The practice will provide the locum with a competitive stipend for their work.
