Compensation for this opportunity is based on a fee-for-service model and may include additional program stipends. The average gross income of a Family Medicine Physician in Alberta is $300,000 to $600,000.  Total compensation for fee-for-service billings vary by individual practitioner, and the compensation shown reflects the average range of wages for this specialty as reported by Alberta Health.  Alberta Medical Association (AMA) Compensation Programs - AMA Membership compensation programs are under review and may be subject to change.

Fee-for-Service; physicians pay overhead (max 30% per month) with option to become an associate once split overhead levels are reached. Eligible for Rural Subsidiary Agreement (RSA) remuneration including: Recruitment Incentive up to $10,000 (pro-rated based on FTE), Relocation up to $15,000 (based on location), Flat fee $9,437.76, Fee Premium 6.09%, CME $2,200/year (yrs 3–4) and $4,400/year (after 4 years).

$800,000 to $1,100,000 per year for full-time physicians; minimum 50 patients per day with private patients’ guaranty; part-time physicians pro-rated (portion of full-time according to hours); combination payment model.
