Job Description

A 12-month locum opportunity at a friendly, collaborative clinic in Brantford (with option to work one day per week on the Six Nations Reserve). I am seeking coverage for 3 days per week (with the option to work 4 or more days, if desired), seeing patients from 9PM-12PM and 1PM-4PM daily. Patients are booked every 20 minutes, with 30-40 minutes allocated for more complex appointments or procedures (the option to do procedures is based entirely on your comfort level).

The daily locum rate is competitive and includes payment for time dedicated to inbox management.

You may occasionally be asked to cover after-hours clinic from 1PM-8PM (Monday through Thursday only), either in place of, or in addition to your normal shifts (per your preference).

Ideal start date would be in the range of June 22-July 6, 2026, but this is flexible (can accommodate slightly later, if needed). If you are interested in a duration shorter than 12 months, I am also open to discussing that.

Clinic and Support Staff

The clinic is a supportive environment with 5 family physicians, 1 long-term locum physician, and 2 nurse practitioners working in a shared practice (any patient can be seen by any provider). Among the group, there are roughly 10,000 patients rostered. 

The clinic includes an experienced array of support staff to allow you to focus on patient care, rather than administrative tasks. This includes 2 nurses, one dedicated full-time results nurse (who will inform you of urgent results, and call patients on your behalf), one pharmacy tech (who manages all prescription renewals), referrals coordinator (who can ensure your referrals and requisitions go to the correct person/place), billing coordinator (no need to do any billing yourself), clinic manager, and a team of 4-5 intake/administrative staff working daily. ODSP and DTC forms are completed by a dedicated nurse.

The practice uses Avaros EMR and you may choose to utilize the integrated AI scribe, if desired (cost covered by the clinic).
