3.5-Month Locum Opportunity in a FHO/FHT Group Practice

A physician who is part of a FHO-FHT group practice in downtown Stoney Creek is seeking a locum to provide coverage one day per week, preferably on Thursdays, with the option to work Tuesdays or Wednesdays, January 1 - April 17, 2026. Office hours are 9:00-4:00PM, which includes 5 or 6 hours of clinic time, and an hour for lunch.

With a roster of approximately 1750 patients, the practice typically sees between 16-20 patients per day, with appointments typically booked in 15 to 30 min intervals depending on the complexity of the patient. As part of a 2-physician group practice, the successful locum candidate will be practicing alongside a FHO colleague and will receive support from a PA and an RN as well as a variety of other Allied Health Professionals including psychiatrists, mental health counsellors, registered dietitian, and clinical pharmacist. 

The practice is also supported by an experienced office manager as well as 2 receptionists (1 for each physician). The practice is equipped with 6 exam rooms and a shared office, and patient records are managed through Telus PS Suite EMR. The practice utilizes Prescribe IT and e-fax as well as the OCEAN Platform for electronic referrals and secure patient messaging.

Located in a well-established medical building, the practice is located alongside a LifeLabs clinic, X-ray and ultrasound, a hearing clinic and an eye care clinic, amongst others. Parking is free for both staff and patients.

The locum physician will receive free parking and will be reimbursed a competitive hourly stipend.
