Job Description
The Department of Surgery, Division of General Surgery at Markham Stouffville Hospital, is currently recruiting for an Acute Care Surgeon (ACS). The successful candidate will be a contributing member of the Division, working with a strong, supportive and collegial group committed to providing high quality and comprehensive surgical services in a community hospital setting. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing surgical care of Emergency patients as well as inpatients from other hospital departments as required. Dedicated OR and clinic time will be provided on a weekly basis to the ACS service. The successful candidate would expect approximately two dedicated 4 hour ACS Operating Room blocks per week for ACS service.
Qualifications/Experience:
● License to practice independently in Ontario from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO);
● General Surgeon certification from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or equivalent
