Job Description

Located just 30 minutes east of Toronto, in Beautiful Durham Region, Lakeridge Health Oshawa (LHO) is looking for a Cardiologist to participate in the Cardiology service model, with a focus on the provision of services to the following areas; acute cardiac unit, acute inpatient cardiology ward, consult service, cardiac diagnostics, cardiac imaging, and pacemaker clinic.

We currently have a position available for one full-time cardiologist to join a team of seven cardiologists with well-established practices. Hospital-based inpatient care is shared among the group with home-based call.  Participation in the General Medicine call schedule is not required.  

Applicants must be licensed or eligible for a license to practice in Ontario with accreditation in Cardiology by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or its equivalent.  A strong interest in teaching would be an asset as Lakeridge Health is associated with Queen’s University and the successful candidate is encouraged to pursue an academic appointment.  Specific training in heart failure would be an asset as would level III echocardiography certification.
