We are currently seeking locum physicians for our Hospitalist service at BRIGHTSHORES HEALTH SYSTEM – Owen Sound Site for the weeks of: 

July 28 - Aug 1, 2025

Aug 5 - Aug 8, 2025

Aug 18 - Aug 24, 2025

Aug 25-Aug 29, 2025

Sept 22 - Sept 28, 2025

Sept 29 - Oct 8, 2025

We offer mileage reimbursement and accommodations in beautiful downtown Owen Sound!

Hospitalist weeks generally include call expectations the weekend following in some capacity, relative to number of weeks scheduled, but there is flexibility pending locum availability.

Hospitalist Service:

We are in the midst of expanding our Hospitalist program from present (3) growing to (4)  physicians sharing coverage of up to 36 acute inpatient medicine beds (~10-12 each), 8am-5pm weekdays, and rotate evening weeknight on call. Two physicians on weekends & holidays. 

Compensation: Mon-Fri daily stipend of $1200; HOCC stipend + 100% fee-for-service OHIP billings on evenings, weekends and Stat holidays.

The Owen Sound hospital is a Level 2 regional referral centre with a Level 3 ICU, offering a full range of specialty services through the Departments of Anesthesiology, Medical Imaging, Obstetrics/Gynecology, Oncology, Hospitalist Medicine, Internal Medicine, Pathology, Paediatrics, Psychiatry and Surgery (ENT, General Surgery, Ophthalmology, Orthopaedics, Urology). Robust on-site radiology services include MRI, CT, interventional, ultrasound and x-ray.
