THE OPPORUNTIY:

The Cochrane Family Health Team (CFHT) and its interdisciplinary group is looking for 2-3 full-time family physicians to join their team. The Cochrane Family Health Team consists of 2 Physicians, a Nurse Practitioner, 2 Registered Practical Nurses, a Social Worker, a Receptionist, a Billing Administration Clerk, and an Executive Director. Additionally, CFHT is conveniently located in the adjoining parking lot to the local hospital, providing you with easy access to additional support such as x-ray, physiotherapy, and an operating room. EMR is also available!

               The office is open Monday-Thursday from 9am-5pm and Fridays 9am-4:30pm – perfect for work-life balance in a community like Cochrane where your surroundings offer unlimited summer and winter outdoor adventure such as camping, fishing, four-wheeling and snowmobiling.

               Cochrane Family Health Team is partnered with a FHO (Family Health Organization), which is a blended-capitation model, allowing you to choose the size of your patient roster! With a significant number of un-rostered patients in the community of Cochrane, this offers the perfect opportunity to grow your ideal practice with competitive compensation. To help you get started, the FHO offers an Income Stabilization Plan (max annual compensation of $224, 590) to support physicians developing patient rosters prior to converting to the group-based capitation funding model. This compensation is guaranteed for up to 12 consecutive months after joining the FHO. The availability to take-over already established physician rosters also exists!

INCENTIVES:

               Local recruitment incentives are provided by the town of Cochrane and MICS Group of Health Services. We appreciate and understand that physicians’ wants and needs may differ; therefore we are prepared to offer you a tailored package! Physicians are also eligible for the Northern and Rural Recruitment and Retention Incentive – up to $118, 154 over 4 years! Physicians practicing are also eligible for the Northern Physician Retention Initiative - $7460.95 yearly!
