Job Description:
 
In our area in the north west of Edmonton, we have a big demand for psychiatrists. The waiting time is three to four months currently. We a community based clinic with no on-call or emergency room coverage needed. Weekend and evenings are optional. The Psychiatrist provides comprehensive mental health assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and management of patients with psychiatric disorders in a clinic sitting along with family doctors. The role includes developing individualized care plans, prescribing appropriate treatment (including medication and psychotherapy), and working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to promote patient recovery and well-being.

Qualifications:

• Have a current eligibility letter from CPSA
• Medical degree (MD or equivalent)
• Completion of specialty training in Psychiatry 
• Eligibility for medical licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta (CPSA) with regards to psychiatry
