RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
The Kaye Edmonton Family Medicine Clinic is inviting applications from family physicians interested in taking over a partial patient panel from a retiring physician. There is a flexible FTE position available which can be split between multiple physicians with a minimum of 0.4FTE required per position.
The clinic currently has 12 physicians with diverse practices. We provide after-hours telephone on-call (approximately 5 weeks/physician/year) and attend a weekly provider team meeting. The primary care team also includes registered nurses and a social worker. On-site lab, diagnostic imaging, and pharmacy are available. Clinic operations are fully computerized with Connect Care EMR.
This is a combined clinical practice and teaching environment. Successful candidates will be encouraged to hold clinical appointments in the Department of Family Medicine at the University of Alberta, Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry. Successful candidates will also be expected to become members of the Edmonton O-day’min Primary Care Network.
The successful applicant shall have or be eligible for certification in Family Medicine with the Canadian College of Family Physicians and hold active licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta with acceptable experience in Family Medicine.

Successful Candidates will have a functional knowledge of resources and challenges in Alberta’s primary health care system. This knowledge will be supported by the candidate having completed a two year Family Medicine Residency and by ongoing community primary care experience.
We are particularly interested in candidates who have superior interpersonal skills with a demonstrated commitment to teamwork and peer relationships. The successful candidate should be committed to fulfilling clinical and non-clinical duties as a representative of Family Medicine.
The successful candidate must be eligible for certification with the College of Family Physicians and of Canada and for medical licensure in the province of Alberta.
