Job Description
Emergency Department & Hospitalist Physicians- Multiple Permanent Opportunities Available
We are currently recruiting Family Physicians for permanent Emergency Department and Hospitalist positions in a supportive, community-focused hospital setting in Kirkland Lake, Ontario. This is an excellent opportunity to build a rewarding practice while enjoying strong compensation, incentives, and an outstanding work–life balance.
Requirements:
- Registered member in good standing with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO)
- Current and valid professional liability insurance
- Willingness to practice in both the Emergency Department and as a Hospitalist
- Ability to work independently
Hospitalist Role:
- 7 days (Saturday to Saturday)
- Shared patients list and on-call rotation in between two physicians (Average of 35 patients total shared)
- ICU with 4 beds and 2 step down
- Compensation: $10,000 per week + Fee-for-Service (FFS) billing
Emergency Department Role:
- Shift options: 08:00–13:00, 13:00–18:00 and 18:00–08:00 (Can combine to do 10 & 24 hours shifts)
- Compensation: $219/hour + 10% shadow billing
- Comprehensive Recruitment Package
- $250,000 sign-on bonus with a 5-year return-of-service agreement
- Housing provided for the first year
- Relocation cost allowance
- $30,000 annually for 6 years, plus additional yearly bonuses
- Northern and Rural Recruitment and Retention Initiative (NRRRI): $118,367 paid over 4 years
