Job Description

Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre (RVH) is an acute-care regional hospital which offers a broad range of programs and services in one of Canada’s fastest growing cities. Barrie is located close to beaches, ski hills and is a family friendly community located one hour north of Toronto and is the gateway to Cottage Country.

 

Full-Time Emergency Medicine

RVH has one of the busiest emergency departments in the province, with over 86,000 visits annually. 

We are recruiting Full-Time and Part-Time Emergency Physicians to join our group of 30+ full and part-time Emergency Physicians. We have a very attractive funding model with a blended fee for service /guaranteed shift minimums, very flexible shift scheduling and strong consultant back-up. We require FRCP or CCFP (EM).

Position Summary

Skill Requirements: Successfully completed MD and FRCPC or CCFP (EM) Availability:

Full Time – approximately 10, 8 hour shifts per month (more available)

 Resources available to you:

  •      Excellent back-up - double, triple or quadruple ED coverage.
  •      ED Admissionist model to assume MRP of admitted patients,
  •      24/7 CT reporting
  •      Strong Resident Teaching Program
  •      In House Accredited (MAINPRO AND Royal College) CME Program
  •      Procedure rounds
  •      On site state of the art simulation lab and Centre for Education & Research
