The community of Yorkton, located in the Southeast portion of the province is seeking a team-orientated and professional emergency medicine physician to join the Yorkton Regional Health Centre. As part of the Emergency Medicine team, you will be responsible for providing clinical medical services to individuals presenting to the emergency department, including trauma, stroke, and pediatric care. The successful candidate must thrive in a fast-paced and unpredictable environment with a focus on teamwork, collaboration, and excellent communication and leadership skills.

The Emergency Medicine Recruitment and Retention Incentive up to $200,000 over five yearsThe Specialist Recruitment Incentive program, which provides $30,000 to an eligible specialist that establishes a practice for a minimum of thirty-six months in a Saskatchewan community.The SMA Retention Fund, which provides financial reward to physicians who practise in the province for extended periods ranging from $7,000 to $14,000 per year
Qualifications:
Fellow or eligible for fellowship with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in emergency medicine (FRCPC) OR be certified or eligible for certification with Canadian College of Family Medicine Physicians in emergency medicine (CCFP EM)Regular or provisional licence with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan (or eligible to be licensed)Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certificationAdvanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS)Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)Valid driver’s licenseSuccessful Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) credentialing including but not limited to acceptable reference checks and criminal record check with vulnerable sectorCurrent Canadian Medical Protective Association coverageLegal entitlement to work in Canada
