Job Description
Bluewater Health is seeking Emergency Physicians committed to providing high-quality emergency care to the residents of Sarnia–Lambton. Preferred qualifications include CCFP(EM), FRCPC, ABEM, or extensive Emergency Medicine experience, along with ATLS, ACLS, and PALS certification. Locum arrangements can be supported to enable interested candidates to assess clinical fit and practice environment at Bluewater Health, exploring both professional practice and community life in Sarnia–Lambton, before transitioning to full-time privileges.
The Emergency Department manages over 60,000 patient visits annually, offering a broad case mix and consistent exposure to high-acuity and diverse pathology.
Position Highlights & Compensation
Weekday - Daytime | $211.00/hour | ||
Weekend - Daytime | $232.00/hour | ||
Overnight - Sunday to Thursday | $195.00/hour | ||
Overnight - Friday & Saturday | $216.00/hour |
- Shifts (0800 - 1800) and (1800-0800)
- Shadow billing premium is 50% of the fee schedule
- On-call roster available to support surge capacity, ambulance transfers, and compassionate sick-leave coverage

- UGME and PGME teaching site for the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry, including core clerkship, Family Medicine residency training, and Family Medicine and Emergency Medicine electives
