Fee-For-Service Split

Combination: RCME/CME incentives — $600 for up to 2 years in Trail, $3,600 during years 3–4, and $6,600 after 4 years (plus Doctors of BC CME funds); Rural Specialist Locum Program reimburses reasonable transportation and lodging and may pay up to $1,560 for travel time (per program guidelines).

Payment varies based on community clinic practice chosen. Two established clinics recruiting. One Fee For Service (FFS) only; one primarily Alternate Remuneration Plan with blend of FFS. Rural On-Call stipend for ER evening/weekend shifts. Specialty on-call stipend 24/7 for anaesthesia providers. The average gross income of a Family Medicine Physician in Alberta is $380 522.00.
