The Erie Shores Family Health Team is currently recruiting a full-time family physician to join our wonderful team and replace a retiring family doctor. Position available November 1st, 2026.

Our team is split between both Leamington and Kingsville, Ontario and this vacancy is primarily located in our Kingsville office.

Leamington and Kingsville are picturesque towns in Southwestern Ontario on the shores of beautiful Lake Erie. There is a community hospital located directly across the street from the Leamington clinic site, making it the perfect location for physicians looking for a diverse family practice. There are opportunities at the community hospital for emergency medicine shifts, surgical assisting, and hospitalist positions among others. You can truly practice comprehensive rural family medicine in our community. Referral centres are Windsor and Leamington.

For those joining the Erie Shores Family Health Team, there are no start-up costs. The office is fully equipped including an EMR with dictation capabilities. Overhead costs are competitive locally. As part of the team, you will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with 23 enthusiastic physician colleagues, 4 nurse practitioners, 2 social workers, a dietician, diabetes educator, and pharmacist.

New graduates from a residency program would have the opportunity to apply for the ministry Income Stabilization program while they grow their practice or physicians joining can take over a caseload of patients tailored to suit their practice style. Mentoring and a gradual entry into the team is available and locums are always welcome. Graduates of offshore medical schools are also welcome and supervision can be provided.

The community offers small town semirural lifestyle with a wonderful climate, close to wineries and orchards, fine dining, boating and other sports facilities and is close to Windsor and Detroit and all that a larger city can offer. Windsor has the University of Windsor, St Clair College, Windsor Symphony Orchestra, Art Gallery, community theatre and a casino. Job opportunities for partners could include work in tourism, the manufacturing industry, healthcare, teaching at the school, college, or University.
