I am a family physician at the CW Health Centre located at Church & Wellesley Sts in downtown Toronto, 1 block from Wellesley subway station. I have a mixed urban practice of ~1000 adult patients where I specialize in LGBTQ and HIV primary care. Knowledge of HIV care would be an asset but is not a requirement; all patients are well managed and I will be available to help remotely as I will be in Halifax providing care to a family member. You would be supported by 7 collegial physicians in the group, 3 admin staff, a clinic manager, and 3 highly skilled and experienced nurses. There is an in-house pharmacy/pharmacist who are excellent and available for support. EMR is Telus PSS with access to Ocean e-referral and electronic messaging, and OLIS. Your office is great- large, well-designed, bright with floor-to-ceiling windows and includes perks like a Bang and Olufsen sound system and in office bike storage.

Coverage would be for 6 half-days per week. You may choose which half days to work except Friday afternoons when the clinic closes. Patients are booked appropriately with 3 appointments per hour of mixed in person/phone, and patients/staff know when a 30-minute appointment is needed. Inbox coverage is expected for the tests and investigations you initiate-I will cover the rest including checking messages daily. 

A half day is defined as 3 hours of patient visits and 30 minutes of administrative work.

Compensation is $550/half day but given the urgency of the situation and the last minute posting, I am open to negotiating terms.
