The community of Wynyard is looking for a full time rural family physician to work at the Wynyard Community Clinic, as well as shared call coverage for the emergency department of Wynyard Hospital, the long term care facility, care of inpatients and visiting clinic in Foam Lake 2 - 4 times a month.The successful candidate must thrive in a collaborative team based setting; with a focus on continuous quality improvement, with a goal of improving care and access for all clients.

Relocation Package:

Qualifications:

The candidate must hold certification or be eligible for certification from the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC). Successful applicants must be eligible for a provisional or regular license to practice in Saskatchewan with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan (CPSS) and maintain membership with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan (CPSS).

Must have experience working in an emergency department.

In accordance with immigration requirements, preference will be given to Canadian citizens and permanent residents of Canada.

Wynyard is a vibrant community of 1,700 and is approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes from Saskatoon, Regina, and Yorkton.

The Wynyard Community Clinic currently has 5 physicians and 1 Nurse Practitioner. We have a very busy practice that services a large number of communities in our area. Work would include family medicine clinic, work in emergency department at Wynyard Hospital and care of inpatients. All physicians share physician services at the Foam Lake Primary Health Care Clinic and Day Star First Nations Health Clinic.
