Job Details and Description

• Examine patients, take histories, order laboratory tests and other diagnostic procedures
• Consult and work with other practitioners to evaluate patients' physical and mental health
• Prescribe and administer medications and treatments
• Inoculate and vaccinate patients to prevent and treat diseases
• Provide counselling and support to patients and their families on a wide range of health and lifestyle issues

Requirements:

-Education: A Medical degree is required

-Experience: The candidate must be a qualified member of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario and have a general practice license from the CPSO or equivalent.

- The clinic is in the heart of the Village and has an LGBT focus.  As such, the ideal candidate(s) will have experience or special interest in LGBT health and wellness.

Salary: Fee for Service Model with the opportunity to join a Family Health Group with an initial salary expected to be ~$250,000 per year based on a 35 hours per week.  Note: the position is a fee for service position and it can vary according to the number of patients attended and the type of care required

Other Information:

Flexibility in schedule: The clinic hours are 900am to 800pm Monday through Thursday, 900am to 100 pm on Friday.  Family practice shifts are set by the individual doctor as part of FHG model.

The Clinic is operated using Practice Solutions (PS Suites) with overhead, Administrative and Nursing staff costs provided through the % FFS split.
