About the Department

Georgetown hospital has a positive, collegial, dynamic and quality-focused physician culture, where our Internist work closely with Hospitalist and other specialty teams in a fast-paced environment.

What We Are Looking For

Halton Healthcare is seeking a Full time, Internal Medicine Specialist. This is a tri-site role primarily for the Georgetown Hospital site. We are looking for a highly motivated individuals with strong interpersonal skills and an interest in clinical care. You must hold a CPSO Independent registration, with or eligibility for FRCPC (Internal Medicine).

Responsibilities:

• Providing GIM consults on inpatients

• Serving as MRP for Level 2 ICU inpatients

• Covering Post Discharge Clinic

• Participating in on-call coverage for GIM proportionate to weeks worked

 averaging no more than 1:5

• Minimum commitment of 6 weeks of coverage per year.

• Day time schedule - one week (Monday to Sunday) at a time. Potential role for locums prior to start.

• There may be opportunities for stress tests, pulmonary function tests and GIM admissionist roles.
