Family Physicians required for the Trent Hills Family Health Team (THFHT), in scenic Campbellford, Ontario.   

This award-winning Team has 4 locations in south Central Ontario, located midway between Toronto and Kingston.  You can decide:  practice only or add complementary medicine including :  emergency medicine, GPAnaesthesia, palliative care, etc. 

Those with an ROS obligation and those needing Supervision are welcome to apply! This is a turn-key group, complete with Telus Practice Solutions EMR.  Excellent support staff and top-notch allied health professionals, including Nurse Practitioners and Mental Health workers.  Competitive overhead includes all staff management and accounting.  Two sites welcome PGY2 residents from both U of T and Queen's Family Medicine Programs.

This position is eligible for an MOH incentive of $80k, over your first 4 years.

Situated about 30 minutes north of Highway 401, the historic village of Campbellford was settled in the early 1800s on the banks of the Trent River, surrounded by scenic rolling hills. Campbellford is convenient to larger centres while being a world away from the traffic and stress of the big city.  The quaint villages of Warkworth and Hastings, along with Campbellford, form the amalgamated community of Trent Hills. As the only hospital located between Belleville and Peterborough, the 38-bed Campbellford Memorial Hospital (CMH) serves approximately 40,000 Northumberland, Peterborough and Hastings County residents, as well as a large seasonal population of cottagers and tourists enjoying the beautiful Kawartha Lakes region and the Trent River system. 

The THFHT was one of the first FHTs approved by the Ontario MoHLTC in 2005.  Incorporated in 2006, the THFHT is governed by a Board of Director and has an annual operating budget of approximately $1.9M.  The Campbellford site of the Team is conveniently located directly across from the hospital.  

Additional community patient support services include a Wellness Centre for adult mental health services and The Bridge Hospice, located in Warkworth. CMH itself includes a 24/7 Emerg, with CT scanner and other diagnostic services, an Endoscopic surgical program, and a range of visiting Specialist Clinics to which you can refer your patients.
