Job Description

Campus Clinic is seeking family physicians to join a new walk-in clinic being established in Scarborough. This is a unique opportunity to help build and shape a new community-based medical service while providing much-needed access to care for patients in Scarborough and the surrounding area.

Our goal is to create a modern, physician-friendly clinic that combines flexible scheduling, strong administrative support, efficient workflows, and competitive remuneration. 

The clinic is owned and supported by experienced healthcare operators and physician owners who understand the operational and clinical needs of practicing physicians.

This opportunity is suitable for both experienced physicians and new graduates. 

Physicians may work on a part-time or full-time basis and may choose regular weekly shifts, occasional shifts, or a customized schedule.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities include assessing and treating walk-in patients, ordering investigations, prescribing medications, completing referrals, documenting visits, and reviewing results related to patients seen.

Schedule

Flexible shifts are available Monday through Friday.

Potential shift times include:

•⁠ ⁠Day shifts: 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

•⁠ ⁠Evening shifts: 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Physicians may choose:

•⁠ ⁠Part-time or full-time work

•⁠ ⁠Regular weekly shifts

•⁠ ⁠Flexible or occasional shifts

•⁠ ⁠A set day each week or selected days each month

Compensation

Physicians may choose between a guaranteed hourly model or a fee-for-service model.

•⁠ ⁠Minimum guaranteed compensation of $150 per hour

•⁠ ⁠Physicians may transition to fee-for-service compensation when their billings exceed the guaranteed hourly rate

•⁠ ⁠Overhead is tiered and only begins to apply once the physician’s fee-for-service earnings exceed the guaranteed hourly compensation

•⁠ ⁠Full billing and reconciliation support is provided

This structure provides income stability while the new clinic builds patient volume, with the opportunity for increased earnings as the practice grows.

Ideal Candidate

The successful applicant will:

•⁠ ⁠Hold, or be eligible to hold, an independent licence with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario

•⁠ ⁠Be eligible to bill OHIP

•⁠ ⁠Hold current CMPA coverage

•⁠ ⁠Have an interest in community-based primary care and walk-in medicine

•⁠ ⁠Demonstrate strong communication, documentation, and clinical decision-making skills

•⁠ ⁠Be committed to providing respectful, patient-centred, and culturally sensitive care

•⁠ ⁠Be comfortable working independently while collaborating with a broader healthcare team

New graduates are encouraged to apply. The guaranteed hourly model, mentorship, administrative support, and initially manageable patient volumes may provide an excellent environment for physicians beginning independent practice.
