Job Description
Covenant Health and the University of Alberta, Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry, Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology, invites applications for a Generalist Obstetrician/Gynecologist to be based at the Grey Nuns Community Hospital in Edmonton, Alberta. The start date for this position is flexible.
Successful candidate will be expected to participate in Department Committees and in Medical Student and Resident education.
The successful candidate will be expected to apply for a Clinical Faculty Appointment in the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology, University of Alberta. This will be considered under a separate process through the Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry which has been internationally recognized as among the world’s top 50 medical schools and as one of Canada’s premier health-education institutions and is located in Edmonton.
Required:
· MD or equivalent.
· Licensed or eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta.
· Certification in Obstetrics & Gynecology with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
· Expertise and commitment to quality care and patient safety.
· Demonstrated commitment to Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) in the healthcare environment.
· Understanding of Just Culture and its role in healthcare.
