OTOLARYNGOLOGIST – HEAD & NECK SURGEON (RHINOLOGY/ENDOSCOPIC SINUS & SKULL BASE SURGERY)

Position Overview
The Department of Surgery, Division of Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery at the University of Saskatchewan invites applications for a full-time Otolaryngologist–Head & Neck Surgeon. This position is ideally suited to a fellowship-trained rhinologist with expertise in advanced endoscopic sinus and anterior skull base surgery. Academic rank will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
The successful candidate will join a collegial, growing academic division providing tertiary and quaternary ENT care to the province of Saskatchewan. Clinical responsibilities will include comprehensive otolaryngology practice with a focus on rhinology, chronic rhinosinusitis, revision sinus surgery, endoscopic management of sinonasal tumors, and cerebrospinal fluid leak repair. Opportunities exist to collaborate within multidisciplinary skull base teams, including neurosurgery and related surgical and medical specialties.
Education & Academic Responsibilities
The University of Saskatchewan places strong emphasis on excellence in medical education. The successful applicant will participate actively in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, including clinical supervision of residents and medical students, didactic teaching, and contribution to academic rounds. Leadership opportunities within residency education and program development may be available.
Research & Scholarly Activity
Applicants are expected to demonstrate a commitment to scholarly activity. The ideal candidate will have an emerging or established research portfolio in rhinology, outcomes research, surgical innovation, or medical education. Support for research development, collaboration, and protected academic time is available through the College of Medicine.
Job Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- MD degree and eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan
- Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (FRCSC) in Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery (or equivalent)
- Fellowship training in rhinology and endoscopic sinus/skull base surgery is strongly preferred
- Demonstrated interest in teaching, research, and academic service
