Southlake Health is currently recruiting for a hospital-based Benign Hematologist to join our dynamic and collegial team.

Position Overview

This is a permanent, hospital-based position with clinics operating through the Ambulatory Day Medicine area. The successful candidate will manage:

• General benign hematology referrals
• Thrombosis/hemostasis clinics

These clinics are fully supported by experienced nursing and administrative staff.

Team Structure

• Three hematologists with mixed benign/malignant practices
• One thrombosis-trained internist
• Four hematologists primarily at the Stronach Regional Cancer Centre
• Strong collaboration and commitment to clinical excellence

Clinical Expectations

• Minimum of 3 half-day clinics/week, up to 6–7 half-days based on interest
• Equitable participation in hospital call schedule, with flexibility for increased day call if desired
• Limited after-hours/weekend coverage
• Full administrative and office support provided
• Opportunities for involvement in quality improvement and clinical research available

Supportive Environment

• Large hospitalist/internal medicine team managing inpatient care
• Strong subspecialty support (ID, respirology, ICU, etc.)
• Robust pathology and laboratory services
• Collaborative model of care expected from all consulting physicians
