 Introduction

 The Hawkesbury & District General Hospital (HGH) is looking for Hospitalists. Currently our hospitalist team consists of 29 supportive, welcoming, and compassionate doctors. We offer flexible start dates and schedules that can be based on the candidate’s availability.

 Clinical Setting and Duties

 Our hospitalists function on an on-call basis and are generally on call for 7-days (Friday-Thursday) for general inpatient care or 5-days (Monday-Friday) in Rehab/CCC. Half weeks of on-call are also available. Together, our 4 on-call hospitalists provide essential services to the residents of Eastern Ontario and Western Quebec. Given that 70% of our population is francophone, fluency in both French and English is a requirement.

 Training

 Applicants must have certification from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or equivalent qualification, along with a license from the College Physician and Surgeons of Ontario. Candidates must have valid ACLS certification.
