GENERAL INTERNAL MEDICINE LOCUMS IN MUSKOKA
Working together to provide outstanding integrated health care to our communities, delivering the best patient outcomes with exemplary standards and compassion, the Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare (MAHC) is a multi-site organization that includes the Huntsville District Memorial Hospital Site in Huntsville and the South Muskoka Memorial Hospital Site in Bracebridge. Both hospitals locations are slated for new builds in the coming years. It's an exciting time for health care in Muskoka.
Bracebridge is located just two hours north of Toronto in beautiful “cottage country” surrounded by vibrant natural beauty, pristine lakes, majestic forests, and rocky shorelines. The town was built around a waterfall on the Muskoka River in the centre of town and is known for its other nearby waterfalls, hiking and cycling trails, and charming downtown. In addition to our complement of General Practitioners, our Medical Staff includes specialists in Internal Medicine, General Surgery, Gastroenterology, Neurology, Ophthalmology, Radiology and Urology.
We're seeking two Full-Time General Internists to join us immediately. Cardiology or Respirology is considered an asset.
Practice Opportunity:
Are you interested in working within a flexible schedule while participating in 24/7 coverage? We are seeking General Internist Medicine locum coverage to provide care and support to our patients in the Emergency Department and Inpatient Units.
Compensation:
Compensation is under the Ministry of Health HOCC Program and Fee for Service.
Incentives:
Bonus stipend above Hospital On-Call
Travel costs to and from Bracebridge
Reimburse accommodation expenses up to $125/day (and up to $200/day during summer months)
Description:
In addition to providing care to inpatients, other clinical work could include:
• ECG Reading
• Holter Monitoring
• Stress Testing
