Urology Full-Time Locum Opportunity

Parental Leave Coverage

Start Date: 

-    3 months (January - April 2026)

o  Option: to cover call in advance of full-time locum start 

Practice Coverage includes:

o  1 OR day per week for 6 weeks (2 per month for the remainder of the locum)

o  1 Cystoscopy day per week for 6 weeks (2 per month for the remainder of the locum)

o  1 Ambulatory Care day per week for 6 weeks (2 per month for the remainder of the locum)

o  1-2 clinic days per week

On Call: 

o Flexible schedule 

o Cover as many days as you wish, in collaboration with your colleague

CKHA Services:

-    Catchment area: 110,000

-    Beds: 200

-    Physician services: 

o  FRCSC 5-year trained anesthesiologists

o  Surgical services: general surgery and ERCP, ENT, gynecology, orthopedics, ophthalmology

o  In patient medical services: closed ICU, internal medicine, hospitalist, medicine subspecialties

o  24/7 ER and on-call coverage

Remuneration: 

-    100% OHIP fee for service billings

-    $547.32 /day HOCC payments 

-    Option to do surgical assistant call for additional experience/income

-    Will discuss overhead costs and anticipated monthly FFS billings with interviewed applicants

Requirements: 

-    RCPSC urology 

-    CPSO licensure 

-    Lodgings within 20-minutes response time while on-call

o  CKHA owns accommodations adjacent to the hospital, which include parking. Inquire regarding availability of subsidized accommodations. 

-    Accuro EMR trained (must complete training prior to start date if no experience, support provided)
