Interventional Radiologist locum to perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures wanted in beautiful Thunder Bay – ongoing need in 2026.
Location: Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre, Thunder Bay, ON
How to get here:
Thunder Bay is reached via a 2-hour direct flight from Toronto or Ottawa. Our physician recruiter is available to support travel arrangements and logistics, as well as answer questions about what it is like to work and stay in our vibrant community! They will be your main point of contact for support and orientation during your local assignment.
Duration of assignment:
Regular locums are needed until July 2026 and potentially onward. These dates can be flexible – if you have availability, please reach out to discuss opportunities.
Position Overview, Schedule, and Supports:
Position Overview & Schedule
This opportunity includes both diagnostic and therapeutic interventional procedures, which include angiography, maintenance of dialysis fistulas, and arterial stenting. Responsibilities will include interpreting a range of diagnostic studies, such as X-rays, ultrasounds, MRIs, and CT scans. Coverage dates and scheduling are flexible and could range from a few days to a week depending on availability.
Compensation and Expense Reimbursement:
Compensation:
Compensation is fee-for-service.
Travel: Travel costs (flights/mileage/car rentals) are reimbursed via the NSLP Respite locum rates. Ask our physician recruiter about our discounted car rental rates for locums.
Accommodations: Ask our physician recruiter about our discounted accommodation rates for locums. Accommodations expenses are reimbursed by the Ontario Health NSLP.

Licensing and Credentialing
