As an integral part of our emergency department, you will:

·        provide an average of 120 hours per month and associated second on-call coverage (6 and 12 hour shifts);

·        deliver trauma-informed, culturally safe, patient- and family-centered care in a supportive and collegial environment; and

·        have the opportunity to mentor the next generation of physicians through our teaching affiliation with the Northern Ontario School of Medicine (NOSM).

What You Bring

• Independent licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO)
• CCFP or FRCPC designation (preferred)
• Current certification or willingness to obtain: ACLS, PALS, and ATLS (or equivalent certification)
• A strong commitment to collaboration, trauma-informed care, and cultural safety
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Compensation & Incentives

• Remuneration through the Emergency Department Alternate Funding Agreement (AFA) – Hourly rate $220 (days) $245 (nights)
• 22.5% shadow billing during business hours and 25% for after hours/holidays.
