Job Description
Family physician in Lindsay, Ontario looking for a locum from July 1 - August 28, 2026. Physician currently working 3.5-4 days per week in a FHO/FHT practice with strong support staff. There are two other family physicians on site. Rate is $900/day plus shadow and third party billings. The City of Kawartha Lakes, located 90 minutes north-east of Toronto, is the rural paradise of south-central Ontario. Encompasing the communities of Bobcaygeon, Coboconk, Fenelon Falls and Lindsay (the largest urban centre), the city boasts both small town charm and cottage country beauty. The Ross Memorial Hospital is an accredited 175 bed community hospital in Lindsay that meets the needs of over 80,000 people. A blend of primary and secondary services are provided by family physicians and specialists to address the complex needs of the community. A core -of general surgeons, orthopedic surgeons, opthalmologists, obstetricians and anesthetists support a broad range of surgical services. Internists support a 24/7 ICU. Emergency medicine is provided for over 46,000 visits per year on a 24/7 basis. Diagnostic services are supported by on-site and off-site radiologists, maintaining 24/7 CT and MRI services.
