Immediate Locum Hospitalist Opportunities @ BRIGHTSHORES -Owen Sound!
We are currently seeking locum physicians for our Hospitalist service at BRIGHTSHORES HEALTH SYSTEM – Owen Sound Site for the weeks of:
January 12-January 18 2026
February 17- February 22, 2026
March 16 - March 20, 2026
March 23 - March 27, 2026
We offer mileage reimbursement and accommodations in beautiful downtown Owen Sound!
Hospitalist weeks generally include call expectations the weekend following in some capacity, relative to number of weeks scheduled, but there is flexibility pending locum availability.
Hospitalist Service:
We run our Hospitalist program with (4) physicians sharing coverage of up to 49 acute inpatient medicine beds, 60 admitted patients total throughout the hospital (~15-18 each), 8am-5pm weekdays, and rotate evening weeknight on call. Two physicians on weekends & holidays.
Compensation: Mon-Fri daily stipend of $1250; HOCC stipend + 100% fee-for-service OHIP billings on evenings, weekends and Stat holidays.

The Owen Sound hospital is a Level 2 regional referral centre with a Level 3 ICU, offering a full range of specialty services through the Departments of Anesthesiology, Medical Imaging, Obstetrics/Gynecology, Oncology, Hospitalist Medicine, Internal Medicine, Pathology, Pediatrics, Psychiatry and Surgery (ENT, General Surgery, Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, Urology). Robust on-site radiology services include MRI, CT, interventional, ultrasound and x-ray.
