Responsibilities include coverage of a medical oncology practice treating mostly gastrointestinal, genitourinary and breast cancers. Multidisciplinary tumour boards are held biweekly in conjunction with Southlake Regional Care Centre. We are also a proud member of the Princess Margaret Cancer Care Network, with streamlined access to consultations and collaborative care with the Princess Margaret Cancer Centre.
Call responsibility is expected to be shared equally within the Medical Oncology division. Call duties would include seeing new Medical Oncology referrals for patients admitted to hospital or the emergency department. Support is provided to patients admitted to Uxbridge Hospital via consultations/telephone support. There is no requirement for Internal Medicine call as this responsibility is assumed by a strong General Internal Medicine division. There is no requirement for MRP work.
