Members of the Department of Medicine enjoy an attractive remuneration and benefits package through the University of Calgary and Alberta Health Services, Academic Medicine and Health Services Program.

Daily remuneration typically around $2,000 per day (varies based on patient volume).

Fee-for-Service; Relocation: $15,000 if relocating from outside of Canada; $12,000 if relocating within Canada but outside of BC; $9,000 if relocating within BC.

Fee-for-Service; Relocation assistance: $15,000 if relocating from outside of Canada; $12,000 if relocating within Canada but outside of BC; $9,000 if relocating within BC.

Clinical Service Contract aligned with Physician Master Agreement: full-scope placement $302,113–$377,641 (scaled to FTE), plus 30% Rural Retention Program Premium; other incentives may apply; no overhead contribution required.

Fee-for-Service; locum travel reimbursement per Interior Health locum policy (transport and accommodation reimbursed); travel time payment between $250–$1,500 depending on length of travel.

Alternative Payment Arrangement (APP); Level 1 MOCAP-funded call; Rural incentives (subject to change); eligibility for BC/Canada student loan forgiveness programs

Fee-for-Service; locum travel stipend $250–$1,500 (depending on length) and reimbursement of reasonable transport and accommodation expenses per Interior Health locum policy.

Fee-for-Service; Estimated Gross Income: $233.75/hour plus Rural Retention Payment (12.32%); MOCAP: $678 per 24 hours (or $28.25/hour)
