ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

NL Health Services – Western Zone is seeking a permanent full-time Urologist for Western Memorial Regional Hospital (WMRH) in Corner Brook, NL.

Western Memorial Regional Hospital is a newly constructed, state-of-the-art acute care facility that opened in June 2024. The hospital serves as a 164-bed regional referral centre for Western Newfoundland, delivering a broad range of secondary and select tertiary services to a population of approximately 80,000 residents.

QUALIFICATIONS

Medical Degree (MD) from a recognized institution
Certification by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in Urology (or equivalent)
Eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Newfoundland and Labrador (www.cpsnl.ca)
Must satisfy credentialing requirements of NL Health Services including a satisfactory criminal record check and vulnerable sector check

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide comprehensive urology services including inpatient and outpatient care
Perform urological surgical procedures
Deliver consultations to referring physicians and teams
Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary surgical team
Support person- and family-centered care; promote patient and worker safety by integrating safety into work practices, identifying risks, and implementing improvements

REMUNERATION

Remuneration is Fee-For-Service in accordance with the Medical Care Plan (MCP) Fee Schedule.
