A family physician with a practice on the West end of downtown Hamilton is seeking a locum physician to cover her practice for one day/week, June-September 2026. The ideal candidate will be available to provide coverage on Fridays, but there is potential for flexibility.

Part of the Hamilton Family Health Team, this 7-physician group practice is part of a 22 physician FHO, and the locum physician will be providing care a roster of approximately 1,000 patients (with approximately 150 additional un-rostered patients). The locum can expect to see approximately 23 patients per day, and typical practice hours are from 8:30 am – 4:00 pm.

The practice is conveniently located just minutes away from Hwy 403 in a location that offers free parking and 2 exam rooms for each physician. The well-designed office uses Telus PS Suite EMR and receives extensive support from several allied health professionals including 3 clinical aides, 2 social workers, a pharmacist, registered dietitian, and psychiatrist. The practice also has an experienced administrative staff which handles all office management, reception, booking and billing duties.

The successful candidate would receive a competitive daily stipend, and this is a great opportunity for any candidate seeking a long-term locum assignment at a well supported group practice.
