Kitchener-Waterloo is a modern, vibrant business community in the heart of Southwestern Ontario’s Golden Triangle and one of the fastest growing communities in Ontario. A great place to live, Kitchener-Waterloo is located just one hour west of Toronto and offers a perfect blend of an urban center combined with scenic rural landscapes. Grand River Hospital (GRH) and St. Mary’s General Hospital (SMGH) merged in spring 2025. The hospitals have developed well-defined and complementary clinical programs to serve both the local community and the region. Together they provide a full range of acute care services. As part of their integration strategy, the hospitals have a common medical staff, joint medical and administrative leadership positions, and an integrated planning system. Both hospitals have well-earned reputations for providing excellent care and for friendly and collegial work environments.
The radiologists work in collaboration across the sites and we currently have expertise in Neuroradiology, Body imaging, Women’s imaging, Cardiac/thoracic imaging and Vascular and interventional radiology to advance patient care. As a member of the professional staff, understanding the rationale and need to join quality improvement initiatives, including peer review, and striving to improve the care and services to the community is essential.
