Overnight Intensivist
Guelph General Hospital is seeking a skilled Overnight Intensivist to join our outstanding team in beautiful Guelph, Ontario. As a key member of our medical team, you will collaborate with a dedicated group of experienced physicians to provide exceptional care to our community.

Our services include 24-hour emergency coverage, advanced technology and diagnostic support, and a variety of specialty programs. GGH is the Regional provider for general vascular surgery and a designated Provincial Centre of Excellence for Bariatric Surgery.

Overnight Intensivist Opportunities
Guelph General Hospital has a closed-access model of care for our level 2 and level 3 ICUs. We are seeking locum physicians to join our critical care team to provide overnight coverage. Night shift remuneration is a generous stipend and fee for service billing.
The successful candidates must be licensed to practice in Ontario and display competence in resuscitation, airway management, and conditions common to our Level 3 ICU including sepsis, respiratory failure, and post-thrombolysis acute stroke management. They must also be competent to manage conditions common to our Level 2 ICU, such as respiratory failure requiring BiPAP, acute coronary syndromes, and rapid atrial fibrillation.
Candidates should be certified or eligible for certification in Critical Care Medicine. Additionally, candidates with experience in Critical Care Medicine who are Royal College certificed in Internal Medicine may apply. Candidates who hold a fellowship in Internal Medicine from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada may also have the opportunity to concurrently cover the overnight General Internal Medicine service.
